Any suggestions on where to crash for Alpine.

This place is 10-15 minutes away

This place looks good, but has some strict "rules".

Where is the best place to stay around Alpine? Camping is my only options, so where is the best spot?

I stay at Country View Campground every year. BUT it is not a party place. They have a strict curfew but are very nice people.

I've been wondering this myself... last year I went to Deer Creek, but couldn't make it to Alpine. I know at Creek there are tons of places to camp within walking distance of the venue. It seems like such is not the case at Alpine. I haven't made any plans yet. I'm hoping that a Camp Phishhook goes down (see thread on main board), or otherwise we're just gonna have to wing it! I'll check out that one link... but that Snug Harbor place looks way too uptight for me!

First of all...I've never been to Deer Creek, believe it or not (I live in Ohio). I didn't know you could camp right there....that makes me want to go...I hate NOT camping in summer after a show, and I hate having to drive after a show. Is camping cool there? State parks or private campgrounds or what?

As for Alpine, when we went to the Dead reunion we stayed at a very cool place called McIntyre's resort. It had like 3 cabins but most people were camping on the grass by a small but swimmable lake. There weren't any showers and the bathroom was portable, but the people were REALLY nice - heads - and they vibe there was very cool. They organized post-show bonfires and boat rides and stuff, served breakfast and snacks during the day and after the show too, the owner's house was right there. I think we paid $10 and it was a 10-15 minute drive to the venue via back roads.
