They're pretty much old radio recordings analyzing, over analyzing, and re-analyzing the conspiracy. Sure it gets to be a bit overkill at times but for Beatles fans and/or conspiracy nuts it's still a fun listen. courtesy of runme69 http://www.sendspace.com/file/cbro95 missing track - http://www.sendspace.com/file/h2z7lt This is a different audience recording to the one that appears on the 'Civic Center, St. Paul' fan release, and it's strikingly better. The previous release suffered from overpowering tape hiss, had numerous drop-outs, was dull, flat, lifeless and below average. That, however is now a distant memory as this release suffers from none of those problems and is a superbly clear audience recording dating from 1984. Prince and the band are far, far above any background and/or audience noise, and his vocals during the piano segment in particular are strikingly loud and clear - impressively so. Normally I would have happily rated this as an EX- recording (no mean feat for a 1984 recording), however the audience during the opening few songs are a little shrill and there is some minor tape rolling during the first track in particular, but be under no illusion, outside of the stunning Persic recordings from San Francisco 1985, this is one of the best audience recordings from the Purple Rain tour, and is without doubt the best of the circulating St. Paul shows. So good in fact, it would put to shame a number of recordings from the Musicology tour 20 years later in the supposed digital age. The recording is more complete than the previous release and the only drop-out I managed to notice was 2 seconds during the intro to 'International Lover' - although a few seconds out of over 2 hours is pathetic of me to mention. The majority of the show follows the standard pattern of early Purple Rain shows with the piano segment containing the only real improvisation of the first half. The trio of 'Dirty Mind', 'I Wanna Be Your Lover' and 'Do Me, Baby', whilst not being rarities, were not staples of the show, however mention has to also go to the vocal gymnastics on 'How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore'. Disc 2 really contains the most interesting aspect of this release with the only known live performance of 'Another Lonely Christmas' circulating thus far. This one song performance is worthy of release alone, however the fact the show takes place following Christmas, and the fact it's a home town show also adds to make it a little more special. The release also includes 18 minutes from Sheila E's opening act which was uncirculating until now. The quality is slightly less impressive with a hefty bass level for 'Erotic City' in particular, however it's a welcome extra to an already impressive release. Overall I enjoy this as for two simple reasons: the fact it makes the previous release obsolete, and the one-time live performance of 'Another Lonely Christmas'. An excellent, really enjoyable release. DOLPHIN This is Sabotage's second release of this aftershow from the Copenhagen stop of the One Nite Alone tour - their first being the audience recording 'Funkin' Copenhagen' released 12 months prior to this. This particular release is recorded straight from the soundboard, and as you would expect the quality is tremendous. At the time I write this comment (2006), this is the only soundboard recording widely circulating from the European leg of the tour, and thankfully the quality and content of the show are every bit as impressive. As Sabotage have pointed out in the linear notes to accompany this, there are a few flaws, however they remain untouched and are left intact as they appeared the night of the show. The most obvious occur during Eric Leeds solo during 'Brick House' and Greg Boyer's during 'Hair' where there is some minor distortion which leads to some slight crackling. The show is a stunning 75 minute set and one of the few 2002 aftershows which improve with every listen. It includes the finest live version of 'Whole Lotta Love' from the tour followed in quick succession by a scorching 'The Question Of U'. The mid-section of the show has Prince on bass, and his solo to close out 'Hair' is one of those moments during a recording where your mouth drops at the man's talents. The show includes a hilariously terrible version of 'Prince & The Band' where Prince attempts to rap the lyrics over a drum loop which is running at an erratic speed, which leads him to fluffing the lyrics - certainly worth a laugh. The closing version of 'Dolphin' is very mellow and subdued in comparison to many others from the same era, and is a great way to end a quality-stuffed show. My problem with this soundboard release is that it is missing the atmosphere generated by the audience. The amount of audience participation on this show is so great that they partly make it what it is - and that's why I prefer the Ladybird release 'My Band's Tight' which is a beautiful "matrix" mix of both the soundboard and audience recordings. Make no mistake about it this IS an amazingly good release, and any time soundboard recordings are released they are worthy of praise. |

Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic (Continued) 06. Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic (Conclusion) NOTES: This is the infamous Small Club show that is arguably the greatest live Prince bootleg ever! It features superb sound quality, several great covers, a couple tracks unreleased at the time, and one improvised song that has never been heard before or since (People Without)!! This show has been released on many different bootlegs in several different configurations. The first release was the triple LP, Small Club by Martens Records. The first bootleg CD release was this one, from X Rekords. It is the best I've heard. I haven't heard the Moonraker "remastered" edition. If anyone has it, please upload it as I would love to find out if it is as good, much less better. |

another interesting electronic find courtesy of DrDeepakChopra Timewarp Inc. - Groovy Booty (2008) http://www.zshare.net/download/511480837d3ca98e/ from the LetsGoGetIt blog/ These kats are from Athens, Greece! This album is incredible!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOOWWO Preview Here: http://www.myspace.com/timewarpinc Timewarp was born in Athens, Greece 25 years before the second millennium. He was introduced to electronic music at age 13 when he acquired an amiga. Captivated by the fledging technology's potential he started working on his own sounds and soon found his musical identity in the area of chill sound beats. You can find him under the aliases Timewarp inc. or Timewarp a.k.a Angelos Stoumpos. Being a dj as well as a composer he became famous in the Greek underground electronica scene in early 90’s. Over the years he appeared in numerous parties and venues and he created one of the first pioneering dance projects in Greece. Influenced by and joining forces with a number of other composers and artists he started expanding the character of his music, combining smooth baselines with melodic instruments like flute, percussions, vocals, guitars creating a very characteristic worm ethereal worldly sound. At the same time his production style moved into funky sounds obtaining rough edges that applied to his music a dramatic intensity. His well-defined music signature can be easily identified in all his productions from dud, downtempo to funky breaks and dance . Timewarp has contributed in many releases of various record labels like: ecco.chamber, Sony BMG, V2, Irma, Waveform and more. He licensed music for commercial motion TV advertising spots for brands like Honda, WV-Polo, Seat, Stolichnaya, Old Holborn, Alpha Bank and more. He has even remixed artists like Deep Dive Corporation, Dunkelbunt, Maelstrom, Geriba and more. Counting four personal albums, one remixed album and one EP, Timewarp inc. has many quotes and positive feedback from international and popular artists like Dublex inc (Pulver records), Ralf Droesemeyer (Mo'Horizons), Deep Dive Corporation (In-D Records), Jose Maria Ramon (Ibiza Global Radio), Ed Royal & Dj Enne (Innvision), All Good Funk Alliance (Funk Weapons), Fort Knox Five (Fort Knox records), Helmut (Lounge Records), Groovecatcher (Mole), Dj Aeon Seven (Ninja Tunes), FDEL (Freestyle),Cay Taylan (Couch Records), Maelstrom (Labrok / Jalapeno), Danny Massure (Ticklejunk), Tal M. Klein, Oliver Kieser (Kaiser & Velten - Poets Club) And many more! |

courtesy of computerblue14 Here is their first sunrise show from Tipitinas. They opened, then the "opening act" came on stage, then the opening act marched to the streets, Salmon joined them with a washboard and acoustic instruments and then they all marched back to the stage. The show ended around 8am and we all went to the late night dive "Snake & Jakes" on Vince's request. It was mayhem the entire night... http://www.sendspace.com/file/0d6q98 ---------------------------------------- Leftover Salmon ---------------------------------------- 4/29/00 Tipitina's Uptown New Orleans, LA Jazz & Heritage Festival Night Show Co-bill with the New Orleans Klezmer Allstars ---------------------------------------- AUDIO SOURCE: ---------------------------------------- DSBD ---------------------------------------- DISC 1 ---------------------------------------- Reuben's Train, Carnival Time, Instrumental, Two Step Au Will / Madame Rosin, Wild Bill Jones, Jokester, Funk Jam > Jam, I Can't Dance ---------------------------------------- DISC 2 ---------------------------------------- Klezmers's (not included) ---------------------------------------- DISC 3 ---------------------------------------- Zombee Jamboree, Can't Find My Honey Babe, This is the Time, Do the Boogie, Nobody's Fault, River's Rising, Meet Me in the Morning, Do You Wanna Dance? I recorded directly from his master tape to my computer using Cool Edit, divided the tracks using CD Wave and then converted to SHN before recording my copy onto cd. Dan had this to say about recording this show "Garcia and Kahn, The Ritz 1/27-28/86, An old buddy of mine from college was living in New York City and was employed as the light man at the Palladium. He knew the soundman at the Ritz and had my tape deck hooked into the soundboard before I could even score a ticket. They also had a killer video feed going on, but they wouldn't allow me to patch in with the portable VCR I had brought with me." Jerry Garcia & John Kahn Distribution info: Etree - no hits Phishhook - 6 hits (2 cd/4 analog) but source is listed as sbd>??>CDR Some distribution but not much. |

http://www.sendspace.com/file/cm7fjz Led Zeppelin - Live In Southampton 1973 Label: CMI Music Date: 22nd January 1973 Location: Old Refectory, Univercity, Southampton, England Recorded by Eddie Kramer Mixed by Kevin Shirley Source: rough multitrack mix-down Remastered by CMI Music in August 2008 Lineage: EVSD Silver CD->FLAC->WAV->Remaster->FLAC Total Time: 02:32:28 CD 1 (76:57): 1. Rock And Roll 2. Over The Hills And Far Away 3. Black Dog 4. Misty Mountain Hop 5. Since I've Been Loving You 6. Dancing Days 7. The Song Remains The Same 8. The Rain Song 9. Dazed And Confused CD 2 (75:30): 1. Stairway To Heaven 2. Whole Lotta Love Medley ~ Everybody Needs Somebody To Love ~ Boogie Chillun’ ~ Baby I Don't Care ~ Let's Have A Party ~ I Can't Quit You Baby 3. Heartbreaker 4. Organ Solo 5. Thank You 6. How Many More Times 7. Communication Breakdown Comments: This is my remastered version of this great recording and is made using definitive raw version of this source from Empress Velley "Live At Southampton - Working Tapes" release. For all who might doesn't know, first leaked R-O version is basically the EV version with some glitches already edited out and with some digital errors (bad CDR copy) on it in addition. "Dancing Days" track is an example. I fixed all glitches and crackles. Also all three gaps in recording were fixed. No EQ and no Noise Reduction were aplied. Modern standart dynamic compression was applied, so now it sounds as loud and powerful as HTWWW. All tracks are re-indexed. BTW, Winston Remaster of this show is great but it sounds so different to the original. Also his mistake is the usage of Presence's source. September 2008 CMI |

stolen from one of the PT boards Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Session http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?f8rxz14mljb From allmusic.com: Recorded in December 1983, In Session captures an in-concert jam between Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, the latter of whom had become the hot blues guitarist of the year thanks to his debut Texas Flood, as well as his work on David Bowie's hit Let's Dance. Vaughan may have been the new news, but King was not suffering, either. He had a world-class supporting band and was playing as well as he ever had. In other words, the stage was set for a fiery, exciting concert and that's exactly what they delivered. Vaughan was clearly influenced by King -- there are King licks all over his first two recorded efforts, and it was an influence that stayed with him to the end -- and he was unafraid to go toe-to-toe with his idol. King must have been impressed, since In Session never devolves into a mere cutting contest. Instead, each musicians spurs the other to greater heights. For aficionados of either guitarist, that means the album isn't just worth a listen -- it means that it's a record that sounds as exciting on each subsequent listen as does the first time through.
